1 tbsp olive oil
1 red onion
1 garlic
Bay leaf
Cinnamon stick/1 tsp cinnamon powder (optional)
3-4 tomatoes (pressed)
½ tsp NOTEO Mediterranean mix
Fresh basil
Salt and pepper (to taste)
1 package of spaghetti

How to cook
  • Add 2-3 tbsp of olive oil to a pan. Add chopped onion with a pinch of salt to steam. Cook on medium heat for 2-3 minutes.
  • Then add 3-4 cloves of garlic, pinch of dry oregano, bay leaf, cinnamon stick/cinnamon powder – 1 tsp (optional), some freshly ground black pepper and mix. Fry for another 2 mins.
  • Add the crushed tomatoes, 1/2 tsp NOTEO Mediterranean Mix and 1/2 cup water. Stir well.
  • Add the basil leaves. Stir well and let it boil for 1 minute. Reduce the heat and let the sauce simmer for 45 minutes to an hour.
